Carousel Image 0
We look forward to S / S 20 tracks next year. (Color leather! Bermuda shorts! Vests! And ’60s wallpaper prints, just a few.) But especially denim we had eyes on everything. Everyday staples had a huge presence on the runways – from Givenchy to Gucci and Celine, each great designer exhibited the beloved fabric in a variety of refreshing shapes, such as cropped trousers-skirts, vintage wash and 70’s flares. (Yes, they’re back!) Scroll down as we share some of the biggest jean trends we can expect to see in all our publications, our favorite retailers, and inevitably this year in our lockers. Then, shop your view before anyone else.
1. Vintage Denim

A great emphasis was placed on vintage looking jeans on the S / S 20 tracks. Jeans created a trendy environment. If they seem to be able to withdraw from a neat store, then you nailed the trend.
2. Bootcut + Flared

Boots cut jeans are back. Thanks to designers like Celine, Marc Jacobs and Gucci, the leg-lengthened, flared denim silhouette will be huge next year. Choose a high-waisted pair that is tightened from the waist with a narrow belt.
3. Distressed

Love them or hate them, think ripped and distressed jeans will not be the focus of attention in 2020. Balance the ordinary, undone look with a sophisticated high neck blouse or a polished blazer, as seen in Givenchy.
4. Short + Cropped

Whether Bermuda-style long shorts, culottes or cropped wide-leg styles, there were shorter skirt lengths all over the tracks. When the air gets warmer, wear them with knee-high boots, mules or strappy sandals.
5. High-Waisted Skinny Jeans

Skinny jean lovers, rejoice! Silhouette is here to stay – tell the tracks. Wear with barely sandals for leg extension effect.
6. Front Seams

Front seams and ribs (and pleats for this topic) were common on the S / S 20 tracks, adding interest and elongation. Dress with various silhouettes, from paper bags to skinny styles.
