BLOGGING ROOM TOUR | HOME DECOR DETAILS FROM INSTAGRAM LIVE

I went live in IG last week, which is very rare for me, haha. But that was the easiest way to get around my blogging room. Most questions are asked about the items in this room, because it is the background of all my videos and mirror selfies, so I hooked up everything I can do here today, so it’s all in one place!

This room is where you usually see me on social media. I take all my mirror selfies and videos in this little corner! I always move this mirror from Houseware to change the angle and get the best lighting. Most of my decor in this room came from Ikea, Target, TJ Maxx or Houseware! If you’re wondering how I work with lighting and what equipment I use for blogging and youtube, you can see a little more about the shots I take here.

I recently reshaped this white shelf and I love this setup! My cameras aren’t technically part of the décor, but this is where they always hang out with my favorite cups. The drawing in the upper right corner was a fun gift of my outfit from Kendra Scott at The Blog Societies Conference last year.

Spring Home Tour Blog Hop

Welcome to the Spring Home Tour blog hop organized by Anne & AnnMarie on Simply2Moms blog! If you’re coming from Stacy’s blog at BricksNBloooms.com, welcome to all of you! But get your coffee first!

Now, I can’t wait to share the Spring touches I have added to my home. Be sure to visit 12 more beautiful houses designed for the season by my inspiring blogger friends at the end of the blog!

First, let me share my favorite home decoration trends in 2020! Then, see if you can see them at home!

Modern wood panels – Hello, new wall above my fireplace! Simple, clean lines.
Natural woven materials – Consider the amazing reed details, rattan mirrors, wicker baskets and trays and jute carpets … add a lot of texture to a room.
High contrast – All white kitchens will always be classic. However, the contrast is in trend right now! Keep your kitchen white, but repaint the kitchen island and polish the butcher block for warmth.
Dark blue plus green tones – You know that Blue is the color of the year 2020. But green plays so well with neutrals that we have to let the green ‘sit with us’.
Vintage finds – I think what they’re saying is… “what’s around”. In fact, can’t we find new old things to love every year? My current love is this organic shaped wooden bowl.

Spring Home Tour

Living Room

The living room is currently my favorite place in my house. It is bright and refreshing, but full of lots of warm wood shades and natural elements. As a result, it gets the best light in the house.

You can’t go wrong with green plants to make your home feel alive, especially for Spring. However, I am not a housewife. Therefore, most of my plants and flowers are fake. I’m kidding, that’s all.

Dining Room

Blue and green with neutral colors look very natural and calming. Using it at any time of the year will always be my favorite color combination. However, these colors make them really happy throughout the spring.

I recently shared the details of this simple Spring table view on my blog, here.

Kitchen

For the spring touches in my kitchen, I added some color and pattern with a new carpet. Then, I removed some favorites from my decorating, such as Magnolia wall art and woven hyacinth tray for my coffee bar station.

I’ve shared more kitchen styling tips here.

Family Room

More natural elements like wicker and woven hyacinths are used in my family room. It adds much needed texture and warmth between the blue carpet and the cut. I could still swim in a blue sea.

Since blue is the color of the year, there is an abundance of blue home decor. For example, these light blue pillows are a new discovery from Kirklands.
