B-Sided Jeans

Long-standing friends and fashion industry veterans Claire Lampert and Stacy Daily’s obsession with jeans began long before I was where they curated their vintage studio. Denim rework experiences have long prioritized the current old denim craze. The nation-wide resource, which was passed through the pallets of large-scale old garments to find this perfectly flawed pair, was enough know-how for the duo to start their own affordable collection using denim from 19th-century family companies in Georgia. North Carolina and vintage inspired cuts are very meticulously designed. Their recent collaboration with Bode, a line of men’s clothing made using ancient quilts, grain sacks, and bed linen, is a nod to their beginnings and love for heirlooms. Antique denim aprons and vintage Levi’s 501’s denim suits are transformed into one of a kind of jeans and jackets using Victorian friendship quilts. They are like works of art. . . excellence!

Trick to make a deal in Rose Bowl Piraeus? Get there first. Early shopping will actually be invaluable or even more expensive: entering after 9 in the morning is $ 8 (like any normal, sleep-loving person). However, it’s $ 10 if you arrive at 8 in the morning (can be done, suppose) and $ 15 if you arrive at around 7 in the morning (okay, this starts early). And if you want 5 to 7 (ouch!), It will be $ 20.

The only problem with getting early bird worms? Yoga pants and hoodie will not cut it exactly when the sun rises and after stylish shopping armies start to come in. We stuck from dawn until the end of the last week to grab the most stylish market. – they wear clothes. Our advice for the next month? Rise up early, copy one of these looks and get this worm while feeling fresh – even if we all know you’re not showering.
The Rose Bowl Flea Market closes on Pasadena every second Sunday of the month, so mark your calendars and get all the additional information you need on the website.

DENIM BRANDED NICK WILLIAMS

Q: How did you get into the denim world?
A: In the early 90’s I was buying too much Diesel, collecting labels and hangtags. Later, Levi Strauss & Co. I worked in the graphics department in Europe, this was the first time that the Nevada jean reproduction was released by LVC, and then I got the denim error. I was fascinated with Levi’s and then ‘Big Three’.

Q: You have worked with leading brands like Levi ’and Puma. What are your favorite memories of these experiences?
A: I worked at Levi’s for about 4 years on LVC; It was absolutely important to travel to San Francisco to visit the archive and shop to inspire the Rose Bowl. There were a lot of talented designers in this team and they all went on to incredible careers. I worked on branding for collaboration with Marc Westmorland and Evisu in Puma, we worked together at Levi before and it was great to collaborate again under a different brand.

Q: What would you recommend to someone starting a similar journey?
A: No one can succeed without much effort, anyone who has influence will probably be obsessed with what they are doing.

Q: What would you say to your little self?
A: I always say do not expect anything that you will probably be disappointed with.

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: I was lucky to work with great heritage brands such as Levi’s, LL Bean, Lee, Farah, Puma, Schott, and New Zealand Canterbury. I love doing research and learning the story of the people behind the brands.

Q: What is your typical day?
A: When I am not traveling I take my son to school, I walk the dog, I try to come to my table before 10 am and work until 3 in the afternoon. The rest of the day goes in and out of emails from the US, because 90% of our work is here. I also travel to the USA about 6-7 times a year to visit New York, SF and LA and check in with customers.
